Today Career Builder Founder Rob McGovern launched a new Web 2.0 style career site that gives job seekers a different type of online job search experience. The new site is called JobFox and it is designed to improve upon the current job board model which only helps a small percentage of people who use them.
Here are the highlights of the new site.
By and large contrary to popular belief, job boards were designed for the benefit of employers not job seekers. As a result, an overwhelming majority of job seekers who apply for positions online…never hear from employers…only the select few that employers feel like contacting.
McGovern, CEO of Jobfox and the founder and former CEO of CareerBuilder says that the current job board product “fails 95% of the time. There’s a tremendous amount of discontent among job seekers and employers that the job boards just don’t work.”
